PUNE, MAHARASHTRA — A fresh controversy has surfaced on social media following an alleged altercation between a Rapido bike-taxi driver and a female passenger in Pune.
According to details shared online, the dispute began when the female passenger allegedly refused to clear her ride fare after reaching her destination. When the driver insisted on payment, she reportedly threatened him with legal action and false police complaints. Social media posts identified the commuter as an employee of IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), with critics online drawing sharp criticism over workplace training and ethics.
The incident has triggered widespread discussions across digital platforms regarding the vulnerability of gig workers, digital payment disputes, and the growing concern over potential misuse of legal frameworks. Neither Rapido management nor the individuals involved have issued an official statement regarding the specific viral claim yet.
Women used Rapido Service in Pune but didn’t pay bill. On top of it, she is threatening driver for false cases. She is from TCS and you can see misuse of PoSH Training outside office. Therefore, never help these women. https://t.co/tpijGieLtr
