Damoh, Madhya Pradesh: Horrifying CCTV footage has captured a severe road collision near Bharat Marble in the Vijay Nagar area of Damoh, highlighting the dangers of blind turns and high-speed driving on arterial roads.
The video shows a scooter rider pulling out from an adjoining lane onto the main road, directly into the path of an oncoming Mahindra Thar traveling at high speed from the right. Before either driver could react, the Thar struck the scooter broadside with massive force, throwing the rider several meters onto the asphalt.
Local shopkeepers and nearby pedestrians immediately rushed to the victim’s aid. The official medical condition of the injured rider remains unconfirmed as emergency medical personnel transported the victim to a nearby hospital.
Local authorities are reviewing the CCTV footage to determine liability. Traffic experts have reiterated that blind spots at shop exits and side-lane junctions frequently lead to such high-impact crashes when drivers enter main roads without checking oncoming traffic or when main-road vehicles travel at excessive speeds.
