A terrifying incident of road rage occurred in Punjab when a commuter peacefully driving his vehicle was deliberately targeted and brutally attacked on the road.
According to preliminary reports, the driver was traveling along a routine stretch when a black Mahindra Scorpio aggressively intercepted and rammed into his vehicle from the side. Before the driver could comprehend what had happened, the occupants of the Scorpio, along with a two-wheeler rider who quickly pulled up alongside the crashed vehicle, confronted him. The two-wheeler rider dismounted his vehicle, whipped out a sharp knife, and launched a sudden knife attack on the driver.
The abrupt and violent assault triggered panic among nearby commuters, who witnessed the sequence of events unfold within seconds. Local police arrived at the scene shortly after being alerted by bystanders, and the injured driver was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
An investigation has been launched to track down the fleeing suspects using local CCTV footage and vehicle registration details, with police registering a case under relevant sections for reckless driving, assault, and attempted murder.
