Australian Man Charged With Murder After Twin Brother Found Dead

A 29-year-old Australian man has been charged with the murder of his twin brother after his dead body was found at a property in an area called Orelia, in Western Australia. The Western Australia Police Force said that homicide detectives immediately responded to a serious incident at the residence in Orelia at around 2:20 PM on Thursday, October 8. The officers who arrived at the property found that the body of a 29-year-old man was lying in the backyard. His twin brother, also 29, was then taken into custody.

The suspect has been identified as Ashley Bruno Grillo, and based on the initial investigation, he was subsequently charged with one count of murder in connection with his twin brother’s death. Acting Detective Superintendent Jessica Securo said the incident has caused significant distress to the family and those close to the victim. This is a very unfortunate and tragic incident, and the family has been deeply distressed and devastated, and the team is trying its best to provide support.

As per the latest report, the police remained at the property for several days while investigators conducted a detailed examination of the scene. The victim had suffered obvious injuries, but the exact nature of the victim’s injuries is not known. The detectives seized several blades from the property, which may be relevant to the investigation. The items are undergoing forensic examination.

Grillo appeared before Northbridge Magistrates Court by phone on October 10 from Fiona Stanley Hospital. The court heard that there were significant concerns about his ongoing mental health condition following his arrest. He is expected to be transferred to a specialist mental health facility. Grillo is scheduled to return to court on Friday, October 16.

The investigation is ongoing, and the police have requested privacy for the family as detectives continue to establish the sequence of events and the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident.
